Meaghan Grant joined Jameson & Powers, P.C. as an attorney in 2019. Her practice focuses on real estate matters, estate planning, general business law and outside counsel services. With a quick ability to understand and a business-minded approach to law, Meaghan enjoys building relationships with her clients. Meaghan practices law in both Dallas, Texas and Sarasota, Florida and is licensed in both states.
Meaghan’s real estate practice includes commercial and residential real estate, multi family, manufactured housing, complex closings, financing and refinancing including agency debt, commercial lease negotiations, franchise work, land development, managing local counsel, operations and oustide counsel work. Meaghan focuses on keeping negotiations friendly, but does not hesitate to push back when it matters. During her tenure with Jameson & Powers, P.C., Meaghan has had the privilege of facilitating over $2 billion in closings for her real estate clients.
In her estate planning practice, Meaghan helps both individuals and families create effective estate plans to protect their assets and plan for the future. Meaghan’s estate planning practice includes wills, trusts, statutory and medical powers of attorney, medical directives and graduation packets ensuring access to medical and financial information after a child turns 18 and goes off to college.
Meaghan assists clients with general business law matters including forming and maintaining entities, drafting entity documentation and annual filings.
Before joining Jameson & Powers, P.C., Meaghan clerked for the Honorable Judge John E. Steele in the United States District Court in the Middle District of Florida and worked at Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. in Naples, Florida.
Meaghan graduated with honors from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, where she was Senior Editor of Ave Maria Law Review, Vice President of the Women’s Law Association and received five CALI book awards. Meaghan received her B.A. in Politics from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, where she played NCAA women’s soccer and served as team captain junior and senior year.
What You Might Not Know About Meaghan:
Meaghan grew up in Dallas, but the ocean is her happy place – especially on the gulf coast of Florida. Meaghan enjoys serving on the Board of Exodus Ministries in Dallas, playing tennis at Brookhaven, spending time with her big family (eight siblings!), coming up with new recipes, gardening and estate sale hunting. Meaghan is a parishioner at St. Rita Catholic Community in Dallas and St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Sarasota and an enthusiastic aunt and godmother to many.
