Holly Jameson Powers is the lead attorney, managing shareholder, and co-founder of Jameson & Powers, P.C. Her firm provides outsourced general counsel services, representation for high-stakes real estate transactions, and skillful counsel for acquisitions and healthcare matters. Well-regarded among clients and colleagues as a skillful dealmaker, Holly is renowned for her ability to negotiate and close a deal effectively and efficiently.
A Texas native, Holly was inspired to pursue a career in law from a young age to follow in the footsteps of her father, who was an attorney. Throughout her childhood, she looked up to her father’s integrity and knowledge. They formed Jameson & Powers together in 2004 after each spent many years working for large national and international firms. Their goal was to allow clients to have the proficiency of a big firm while providing them the individualized attention that only a smaller firm can offer.
Holly enjoys practicing real estate law because it is interesting and ever-changing. She finds it satisfying to see tangible evidence of closed deals. Holly also loves representing medical research and healthcare companies because of their impact on others — and she is grateful that the firm’s work is part of that.
Staying true to her motto, “get it done,” Holly genuinely cares about her clients and focuses on finding creative solutions. Taking a methodical approach, she takes the time to understand the processes, goals, and culture of the companies she represents. Clients know they can trust her to be straightforward with them and accomplish their objectives. Many of the firm’s clients have been represented by the firm since its inception, which is a testament to the quality of counsel and legal services Jameson & Powers provides.
When she is not in the office, Holly participates in several professional associations, including the Real Estate Section of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Federalist Society. She is a long-standing member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).
In addition to her professional activities, Holly is very involved in her community. She is a Texas High School Mock Trial volunteer and serves as a mock trial teacher for 8th grade students. She is a board member of several non-profit organizations, most recently serving with Engage Positive Parenting Solutions. Holly also offers pro bono legal services to assist individuals with expunging long-ago criminal offenses from their records. Holly currently resides in Dallas with her husband and family. She is active in her church and enjoys reading and swimming at the YMCA.
What You Might Not Know About Holly
Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her family, including her schnauzer, Bumper, and Biscuit — a goldendoodle who crochets (or at least that’s her explanation for how she always ends up tangled in yarn)! If she were not an attorney, Holly’s dream job would be camp counselor.
